Does the patient need to change ambulances at the border?
The exact operational arrangement depends on the case and current border requirements. SAM plans the handover or through-transfer in advance to reduce delays and preserve continuity of care.
Can you transport a ventilated patient?
Yes, subject to clinical assessment. The team and equipment are selected around the patient's airway, ventilation, monitoring, medication, and transfer needs.
Can insurance assist with the cost?
Some policies include emergency transportation or medical evacuation benefits. Coverage depends on the policy and insurer approval; we can provide supporting quotation and transport documentation.
