An air ambulance transfer involves much more than booking an aircraft. SAM coordinates the clinical team, cabin setup, travel clearances, ground ambulances, airport access and receiving facility as one complete journey. For suitable stable patients, we can also assess commercial airline travel with a medical escort.
Every transfer is reviewed individually. The medical team, equipment, transport method and timing are chosen around the patient’s current needs.

Often, yes. Available seating and medical requirements vary by aircraft and transfer, so this is confirmed during planning.

We normally need the pickup and destination, preferred timing, a brief clinical summary, current support needs, patient weight, and hospital contact details where available.
